The idea to travel to the Dominican Republic was quite spontaneous. Corona had messed up our other plans and the country seemed quite suitable to wait for our VW bus to arrive in the US. In the end, it turned into an almost five-week round trip through the country and we got a good overall impression of it.

Antarctica is the second smallest continent on earth and the only one where actually only scientists live - apart from all the penguins, seals and whales. Also, of course, there are some tourists in the area, which was our opportunity to visit around the turn of the year 2021/22.
